Dinner for wolves?

Rik and I recently made a desk for the kids, with red 6 drawer cabinets for the legs, a custom murraled board for the desktop (by Rik, of course!) and a roll of paper fastened to the underside for the kids to pull out and draw on. We are quite proud of it, actually, and have more things to add to it in the very near future. There will be more pictures to come of the completed project, so stay tuned!

Hella has taken a real shine to the new desk, and has been busy drawing and cutting all day long!

I do believe in faeries!

Did you know that if you wait 2 1/2 years, a drum will turn into a hat? Hella did! :)

Ya! It's MOINE!

I am happy to report that Ms. Katchoo is officially better! She has kept all food and drink down for a full 24 hours! Yay Hella! Now, if Boris just perked back up, all would be fine with the world...

As you wish...

Rik took the boys to school this morning, like he does every morning that he works the dreaded 3pm to midnight shift (thank you Rik). After dropping Boris off first at 7:35am he and Spike went for a drive to pass the time until Spike's school opened (8:30am). As they were driving along Spike was gazing out the window of the car and saw a single red flower.
"I wish I could pick that flower for Mommy," said Spike.
"How about you draw one instead?" replied Rik
"OK!"
So, as soon as they got to Beehive, Spike ran inside, sat down at the 'cutting' table and began to draw the flower you see below!
I think I can speak for all of us when I say, "Wow, Spike! That's amazing!"
Every time I hug my kids, I squeeze pretty hard (who doesn't?), but this one (as many do) had an extra big one, right in the middle!
There is only one Spike, and he's mine!

Do you like apples?

Boris plugging away at his homework, even though he came home early from school due to a slight fever and headache. He's a really good kid.

BRING OUTCH'YER DEAD...

Wicked stomach bug has been taking turns ravaging everyone's insides...guess who was hurting today...

Sleeping it off, Koo-Koo-Katchoo retains her 'heartbreaker' status...

I SEE DEAD PEOPLE...

...and all other kinds of interesting things and phenomena...

Easter

Well...
The morning started out pretty slow and unexcited. Boris had woken up at about 3am vomiting, which pretty much set the mood for the rest of the day. Hella stayed in bed till after 9am and was the last one to laboriously hunt for eggs.
The big kids got costumes and Royal got a lawnmower that blows bubbles(which he loves)! The eggs were filled with jelly beans, chocolate eggs and playdoh (a big hit)!
The sky remained cloudy all day but we were determined to make the best of it! Not only was it Easter, but also one of the last days of Spring Break.

Royal's color was orange:

This kid absolutely LOVES balls!
Here are 3 versions of pretty much the same picture, but they were so darn cute, I just couldn't help myself!

With Spring comes..?

Buddha!?

the boy.
the girl.
spike!
'pirate' spike!
beautiful smile.
5 out of 6
and Easter eggs, of course!

:)

Rite of passage?

Yup.
I shaved his head.
Isn't he cute!?Please forgive him, he's teething! (a drooling stereotype that happens to be true!)

As bad as it looks...

A few weeks ago, Royal started doing the cutest thing...
running around giggling for no apparent reason!
Which is exactly what he was doing when he lost his footing and BAM! fell forehead first into the leg of the chair.
He screamed. A lot.
But as you can see, got over it quickly and was his happy little self once again!
